As a lifelong resident of Upper Arlington and an Upper Arlington High School graduate, Brendan King grew up in a family steeped in public service and a dedication to Upper Arlington. As a youth, Brendan was often found at city hall watching as his father served as Upper Arlington City Manager.
Brendan is now an attorney in private practice in Upper Arlington. He has served our community as a member of City Council since 2016, the Upper Arlington Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, 2008-2015, and held the position of Parks and Rec Board Chair, 2010-2015.
Brendan is a member of Upper Arlington Rotary and served on the Rotary Board from 2014-2016 and serves on the Board of the Hilltop Preschool, a west-Columbus preschool serving underprivileged children. He is also currently the president of the Upper Arlington Historical Society. He is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and Capital Law School. Brendan’s wife Kelly (Harper) King is a teacher at Upper Arlington High School. They have three children: William (13), Elizabeth (11) and Annie (9) who attend Tremont Elementary and Jones Middle School.
